Quick wins and big bets in Novi Beograd

18 September 2025 · Novi Beograd, Belgrade, Serbia · IMPACT

DKAI Lab took The AI Advantage to a Digital Serbia Initiative room at Levi9 in Novi Beograd on 18 September 2025, and the day closed on a prioritisation grid rather than a wish list.

Mirjana Trobok presents to a full room at Levi9 in Novi Beograd, her name and title on the screen behind her, audience seated in folding chairs and armchairs.

The Digital Serbia Initiative filled the upper floor of the Levi9 building in Novi Beograd on a Thursday morning. Concrete columns, blinds half drawn against the September sun, folding chairs pulled into rows behind the marble cafe tables. Forty or so people, and more standing at the back. The title slide carried four marks along its top edge: Swiss EP, Levi9, the Digital Serbia Initiative, and the remAIn relevant academy wordmark the programme ran under. The talk was billed as The AI Advantage. Tarry Singh presented under his DK AI Holding title, Board Director and CEO.

Mirjana Trobok opened the session. Her slide named her Delivery Center Director at Levi9, and the same nine that sits inside her company's pin logo is cast three storeys high on the glass across the plaza outside. Two frames shot a minute apart that morning fix the address: the facade with its outsized 9, and a lobby where Mrdjan Bajic's Hidrocentrala rests inside a taped square on the terrazzo, a bronze figure leaning on a wheel of blue fur.

After the talk the room broke apart. Fives and sixes took the round tables by the windows, then the benches in the middle of the floor, then the low sofas at the far end. Printed worksheets went round, grey grids with room to write. Water bottles, coffee cups, phones face down on the marble. One facilitator ran her group from the arm of a sofa, crouched over the worksheet with five people around her. The screens held the title slide through the whole of it.

The closing artefact was a whiteboard. Ease of implementation up the left, easy to moderate to difficult. Value of opportunity along the bottom, low to medium to high. Two dashed rings, quick wins near the centre and, top right in block capitals, BIG BANG FOR THE BOX. The sticky notes are the day's real output. AI B&B, booking results from free text input. Unchurn v0.1. Clinical trial modelling, from a team calling itself Four Fives. An AI headhunting agent, parked in the high value column by Team 2. A team calling itself Stranger Things put an AI service for generating printable 3D models on the same side of the line.
