Where the lab has taught

Istanbul & Şanlıurfa, with Re:coded
A series of workshops at Istanbul Bilgi University — bilgi is Turkish for knowledge — with talks, lectures and coding sessions for incoming and graduating cohorts. The second half moved to Şanlıurfa, ancient Edessa, near the Syrian border: learners as curious about the future of AI as they were hungry to code.
Tunis, with Think.it
Invited by Think.it — a startup building a pool of talented engineers from the heart of Tunis — for a hands-on training in computer vision and NLP, plus a long public evening on deep learning in healthcare. Deep warmth, and deep math questions.

Hult Prize accelerator, London
Mentoring 40+ student startups — solar, wind, agriculture, water, marine — on adopting an AI mindset as they built hardware, software and services toward the year's theme: improve the lives of ten million people through energy.
University of Copenhagen — Novo Nordisk Foundation Center
A lecture at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research, housed in the Mærsk Tower — the same teaching line that ran from Tunis to Şanlıurfa to London, carried into a research institute.

Teaching AI where it is hardest to learn.
We work with global humanitarian organisations and humanitarian startups alike, bringing current AI skills, tools and teaching to their learners — including youth in war-torn areas, taught computer vision, NLP and the techniques the rest of the field takes for granted.
Knowledge is an all-inclusive deal, and not an exclusive party of a few. If you are teaching people the AI they need, we would like to hear from you.
