DSC NLX at the Fiber Vakdag, Utrecht

5 November 2025 · Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, Netherlands · IMPACT

On 5 November 2025 DSC NLX co-hosted the Fiber Vakdag at Jaarbeurs Utrecht, with DKAI Lab and Real AI on the exhibition floor and a Spark track in the side rooms.

Jaarbeurs Utrecht held more than one conference on 5 November 2025. The Fiber Vakdag of the Fiber Carrier Association shared its plenary hall with the Green Data Center Conference 2025 of the Dutch Data Center Association, and the two ran a joint app billed on the signage as GDC X FV. DSC NLX, the AI and data conference from Data and AI Cosmos of Belgrade, co-hosted the day with a programme of its own. The sponsor wall in the foyer set it out plainly: Friends of the Fiber Vakdag 2025, co-host DSC NLX, diamond partner Huawei, gold partner FOA glasvezeltechniek. Real AI sat among the logos underneath, alongside Eurofiber, TrueCom, TReNT Glasvezel, Relined, Comptest and the Dutch Subsea Cable Coalition.

The morning ran in the hall marked Polar. Stijn Grove of the Dutch Data Center Association and Andrew van der Haar of the Fiber Carrier Association opened at 10.30. The opening panel followed at 10.45, a fireside chat on European and Dutch digital sovereignty with Peter Stuckmann of the European Commission, Michiel Boots of the Ministerie van Economische Zaken and Kees Verhoeven of the Dutch Data Center Association. Then a session on making room on a full electricity grid, then one on building reliable infrastructure, then a close at 11.55. Four side rooms carried the rest of the day: Progress, Mission 1, Mission 2 and Quest.

The DSC NLX programme ran under the name Spark, and its board listed three slots. Niko Višnjić of UP Robotics on automation, robotics and industrial technology at 13.15. Jean del Rosario of GitLab on modern software development and collaboration at 13.50. Mikhal Rozhkov of Nebius AI at 15.00, on an AI product canvas that runs from business goals to technical decisions. Between the second and third the board printed time on the exhibition floor as an item in its own right.

DKAI Lab and Real AI worked the floor rather than the main stage. The stand carried a LucidAI roll-up reading Agentifying Workforce Automation, the product described on it as a gen AI productivity platform by Real AI B.V., with the line Human Centric. Sovereign AI. Agentic OS. Made in Europe. The deepkapha AI Research, Real AI and NVIDIA Inception Program marks sat along the foot. Comptest stood next door with a repair board listing Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ericsson, Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei, Nortel, Extreme and Infinera.

Huawei took the plenary at 13.15 with a session on twenty years in the Netherlands. The Spark room was a smaller affair, a projector and a flip chart and a dozen chairs. On the wall, a worked example rather than a pitch: support volume growing from 12,000 to 20,000 requests, 65 per cent of them repetitive, a six hour response time, cover only during United States business hours, and a target of holding cost below 160,000 dollars a year against the price of two new hires.
