FIFTEEN ON THE CALL

An HCAIM webinar with fifteen people on the call

13 March 2024 · Remote, over Microsoft Teams · LAB

On 13 March 2024 the lab joined an HCAIM webinar over Microsoft Teams, fifteen people on the call, run from a room with one 86-inch screen.

The whole record of this day is one photograph, taken at 14:49 in the afternoon of 13 March 2024. It shows a Microsoft Teams call on an 86-inch iiyama touch panel, a conference camera clamped along the top edge, terracotta walls, and a tall window with brick outside it. The panel's carton, printed TE8604MIS, was still propped below the screen.

Teams counted fifteen people in the call. Four were on camera in the visible page of tiles, and the pager read one of three. Four more names sat in the side rail as initials or profile photographs. One of those carried an ESI CEE tag in front of the name. The account signed in to run the meeting was Real AI B.V.

No deck, no agenda and no programme booklet survive in the folder. Six earlier HCAIM folders sit elsewhere in the same archive, from Budapest, Naples and Utrecht, so this webinar came well into a run of work rather than at the start of it.

What the photograph records is the shape of the work in 2024: a session met on a screen rather than in a hall, run from a room fitted out to hold it. The single frame is the reason this chapter is short.
