CONSORTIUM PLENARY AT FEDERICO II

The PANORAIMA consortium meets at Federico II

20 and 21 November 2025 · Naples, Italy · LAB

On 20 and 21 November 2025 the PANORAIMA partners gathered in Naples, under the seal of Frederick II, to report work packages and set the 2025 tools moving.

Around forty PANORAIMA partners on the marble entrance staircase of the University of Naples Federico II, beneath the bronze seal of Frederick II.

PANORAIMA is the Horizon Europe project that grew out of HCAIM, the human-centred AI master's programme. Real AI Ltd is one of the partners. Tarry Singh is a co-developer of the programme and a visiting professor on it, so Naples was the lab's own table, not somebody else's stage. A worksprint in Budapest in June had already run that year.

The host was the University of Naples Federico II. A bronze seal hangs over the landing of the entrance staircase, and the Latin around its rim reads FRIDERICVS DEI GRATIA ROMANORVM IMPERATOR SEMPER AVGVSTVS. At 12.20 on 20 November the whole party lined up on the marble steps beneath it, between two green columns, badges on lanyards. Phone GPS puts the building at 40.8300 N, 14.2462 E, on the Santa Lucia waterfront about 150 metres from Castel dell'Ovo.

The plenary ran the next morning in a plain white room with a ceiling projector, tripod lights and a rack of recording gear against the back wall. Around forty people sat with laptops open, and a Teams grid of remote partners ran down the side of every slide. At 10.40 the floor belonged to WP7, Task Force B, Cluster B: student recruitment and student affairs. The slide listed recruitment campaigns, admissions coordination, mobility and cross-institutional exchange, graduation project matching, and alumni tracking.

Three things were promised for 2025 against the PANORAIMA dissemination plan, version 1.0. A playbook capturing recruitment practice and lessons learned with alumni networks. A matchmaking platform to connect students with organisations for master's thesis work. An active alumni network. A second speaker followed with an administration screen open, fields and forms rather than bullet points. Pastries and coffee waited on a trestle table at the back. Half the room was in Naples, half of it dialled in.
